As the city awakens to the festive spirit of year’s end, HOZO CITY TẾT FEST 2025—a collaboration between the city’s two largest cultural and music festivals—marks a new milestone for the city’s creative community.
Two key programs—the CTRL+M multimedia exhibition and the VJ Open Contest: VJ:MAZED—are now launching an Open Call, inviting artists, creators, VJs (real-time visual performers), performers, and young visionaries to take part in an ambitious and contemporary art playground infused with the vibrant energy of the city.
Though taking place over just 05 days (December 27–31, 2025), CTRL+M and VJ:MAZED extend far beyond the idea of a temporary “pop-up.”
The creative projects unfold within a 900m² Immersive exhibition pavilion— the “Immersive House©,” a specially designed pavilion created by architecture studio 324PRAXIS in collaboration with the curatorial team. This unique architectural space turns light, projection, and structure into a shared narrative about the city’s transformation.
CTRL+M – Multimedia Exhibition: The City as a Current
Under the theme CTRL+M, the exhibition invites young artists to ask: If we only had 05 days for a festival—what could we create?
As a “maze of moments,” CTRL+M seeks artistic reflections on urban life, Tết, and humanity in the digital age — where art, technology, and emotion seamlessly merge.
Curated by artists Đỗ Nguyễn Lập Xuân and Võ Thủy Tiên (X+P-collective), the exhibition brings together multimedia contemporary art practices—including video, sound, installation, and interactive media. Each work acts as a response—a “Ctrl + Moment”—opening new possibilities for how we perceive the city and the rhythm of Tết.
VJ:MAZED—A VJ open contest: As Light Breathes
Running in parallel with the exhibition, the VJ:MAZED Open Contest introduces a professional visual playground for VJ (Visual Jockey) artists.
The contest is organized by X+P-collective (The Purpose Group), with mentorship and judging by pioneering figures in the field: Tùng Monkey (The Visual 084), Võ Thủy Tiên (X+P-collective), and Giang.it (RMIT / Vietnam Media Lab).
The competition features 03 rounds: an online preliminary selection, followed by live semi-final and final rounds at the festival. Selected participants will take part in an intensive 6-hour workshop with the jury and guest DJs, as well as stage and visual testing sessions using the festival’s real-world projection setup—providing valuable hands-on experience in a professional live environment.
IMMERSIVE HOUSE©—A Generation of Beyond-the-Gallery Art Thinking
Building on the success of CITY TẾT FEST 2024, where dozens of young artists transformed a temporary venue into a “living exhibition house,” this year’s mobile exhibition pavilion—the Immersive House©—expands both in scale and creative depth.
With CTRL+M and VJ:MAZED, the space continues to embody a spirit that is open yet grounded, experimental yet professional—cultivating a sustainable ecosystem where individual creativity flows seamlessly with the collective rhythm of Tết and the city.
